The album also takes the top spot on the Hard Music chart, arriving at #1. HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 has been winning praise from press and fans alike. The Los Angeles Times declared “HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 is Zombie’s most consistently tuneful record to date,” while USA Today referred to the album as “masterfully crafted.”

This marks Zombie’s second Top Ten debut in 6 months…the Zombie-helmed Halloween 2 landed at #3 at the box office in August, 2009 and went on to become one of the biggest horror movies of the year, grossing more than $37 million to date. Zombie’s sinister directorial vision is responsible for reviving the Halloween franchise: the first installment of Halloween debuted at #1 at the box office in 2007, breaking all Labor Day Weekend 2007 records and has since grossed an estimated $80 million worldwide.

HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 hits streets more than a dozen years after its predecessor HELLBILLY DELUXE, which established Rob Zombie as a solo artist after the demise of his cutting edge band White Zombie. The album features all the demonic stylings for which Rob Zombie and his longtime bandmates guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D and drummer Tommy Clufetos have come to be known. Rob Zombie and crew will soon be hitting the road to co-headline this year’s Mayhem Festival kicking off in San Bernadino, CA at the San Manuel Ampitheater on Saturday, July 10th (please see below for tour dates).

In other Rob Zombie news, the accomplished filmmaker will make his television directorial debut with an episode of CBS’ highly-rated show CSI: Miami set to air on Monday, March 1st at 10:00PM, EST. With more than 15 million albums sold, 7 Grammy nominations, the helming of 4 major motion pictures and dozens of music videos under his belt, Rob Zombie is a force to be reckoned with in today’s entertainment landscape. Zombie’s unique meld of horror and hard rock has influenced his sound as a musician, and more recently his vision as a director and writer.

We communicate through Twitter and “chat speak,” cake on make-up with paint-rollers and wear our pants around our ankles. We’re just burdens in society that shouldn’t have a say.

You proved them wrong with how much attention you paid during 9/11. You proved them wrong by going out and voting in 2008, for most of us, the first time we could.
Let’s prove them wrong again.

The death toll from Haiti’s earthquake could be between 45,000 and 50,000, with a further three million people hurt or homeless, a senior Haitian Red Cross official said on Thursday.

“No one knows with precision, no one can confirm a figure. Our organization thinks between 45,000 and 50,000 people have died. We also think there are 3 million people affected throughout the country, either injured or homeless,” Victor Jackson, an assistant national coordinator with Haiti’s Red Cross said.

Haitians struggled frantically to save those injured in the earthquake as desperately needed aid from around the world began arriving. Planes carrying teams from China, France and Spain landed at Port-au-Prince’s airport with searchers and tons of food, medicine and other supplies — with more promised from around the globe.

The influx of aid had yet to reach shell-shocked Haitians who silently wandered the broken streets of Port-au-Prince, searching desperately for water, food and medical help.

1. Give props to crowd surfers. It’s hard work for both the crowd and surfer!
2. No, you cannot fly. Even if you run on from backstage.
3. Be nice to other photographers…you might actually be seeing them again!
4. Being in a fanclub does not make you a fangirl. (But I may call you one anyways)
5. Work as a roadie is hard, so go to school!
6. Never, and I mean never leave home without directions. You are going to get lost, and you are not going to like it.
7. If you want to make friends don’t be a prick and skip lines!
8. Follow show etiquette. (I knew this, but this needed to be reminded)
9. Expensive gear does not make you a good photographer. In fact, bragging about your gear is worse. (Look at this thing! Pew Pew Pew! http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-200-500-Ultra-Telephoto-Nikon-Cameras/dp/B0013DAPNU)
10. At the end of the day (and a hard time getting in, getting set up, yelling, etc) sit back and enjoy the show. After all, that’s why you’re there!

Christine Gunn:

1. I’m going to need a helmet and shin-guards next year.
2. It’s okay to be a fan of the band you’re shooting. You have an advantage that some photographers don’t. You already know the stage antics!
3. Attending double shows on a tour isn’t obsessive…it’s networking!
4. Bands posing for you is still one of the coolest experiences…ever.
5. There are going to be people at a show you don’t like. It’s best to avoid them.
6. Never, under ANY circumstances trash-talk a PR or a Tour Manager. Ever.
7. Just because you don’t like the band, shoot them anyway. Someone out there likes them!
8. While you may think getting hit with a frozen lemonade or water at Warped Tour is nice, my camera doesn’t think it is. Think before you toss.
9. Weather happens. It’s best to be prepared.
10. Smile, Kid

Little Rocker Media's Top Unforgettable Moments of 2009

Amanda Bawarski:

1. AP Tour in Clifton Park. During Set Your Goal’s set a roadie attempted to stage dive and duffed it (as in, fell onto the barricade) super hard.
2. Someone breaking the side wall at Glamour Kills Tour in Buffalo during We The Kings.
3. Interviewing A Day To Remember. Awesome band and perhaps the nicest dudes ever!
4. LFO interview. My god was that a hot mess.
5. Someone getting punched in the face at a The Academy Is… show in Syracuse…by a young girl.
6. Taking the day off from photos to appreciate Hit The Lights in Syracuse. Not something huge, but a reminder to relax every now and then.
7. Shooting Blink 182. Not the hugest fan, but my god! Awesome show, and fantastic experience.
8. Warped Tour 2009. So much happened in one day, but my favorite bit would be working with Dallas Green, and acquiring a shot that has near 10,000 views on our flickr!
9. AP Tour in Buffalo, NY. Not much to say, other than the fact someone at Buffalo.com finally proved I do actually work while in the pit.
10. Not so much a show moment, but I’ve gotten to meet so many people in the last year! Thank you everyone for all the support, and I hope to meet so many more people in the next year!

Christine Gunn

1. While I didn’t have a photo-pass to this show, nor did i care to get one, Fall Out boy had a secret show in St. Petersburg that was announced a day before the show. I begged my boss to let me out early so I could get in line. And I had a blast.

2. I got to shoot Metallica. Fucking Metallica. I was the youngest person in the pit, and the only independent media. You can’t beat that. Ever.

3. I was abused at Warped Tour. While I was an attendee to the show for the past 4 or 5 years, I never had as many bruises as I did this year. During All Time Low, a crowd surfer fell into a security guard and I face-planted, camera-first into an amp. a 50mm lens was hurt in the process.

4. At the same show (same security guard?!) a booted-heel collided with my shin during underOATH. Sure, It doesn’t sound so bad, but I couldn’t walk, and I still have a sweet bruise.

5. As cheesy as it is, and probably lame, I got to go to all of these shows with my mom. She isn’t an embarrassing mom, who fawns over rock stars or pushed her daughter to the front. She’s pretty awesome, and I couldn’t ask for a better show partner.

6. I got to shoot Blink-182. Blink-182. Um, Hello?! Blink-182 was the first “rock band” I got into on my own, and Enema of the State was the first CD I bought with my own money. Things like that, you can’t put a price on.

7. Jack Barakat of All Time Low. While I can go into many stories about Jack, when the band had a stop in Tampa on the Glamour Kills Tour, he 1) tried to eat my lens, and 2) mimed a blow job in my direction. Did I mention All Time Low is one of my favorite bands? Ever?

8. Getting kicked in the head by a member of Hollywood Undead who stage-dived into the crowd. He stopped security from helping him up to grab me into a hug and apologize to me and ask if I was okay. No sweet bruise though this time.

9. Getting to cover the Taste of Chaos meet and greet and get some awesome candids of amazing bands. Come on! Thursday! Bring Me The Horizon! Four Year Strong! I had a blast getting random shots of them, and I hope I can work with all these bands again in 2010.

10. All of the above and then some. Each show has a memory, an LOL moment, or one that required first-aid. But I got to run this site with my best friend, got to experience things I never, ever thought we’re possible, and I got to laugh, cry, dance, sing, and hang out with some of my favorite bands. If you can find a better job than what I do, I dare you to try…

Avengend Sevenfold Drummer Dead at 28

It is with a heavy heart that we bring terrible news to you. The music industry has lost yet another shining star to the horrible celebrity death tolls that are plaguing 2009.

Police say James Owen Sullivan, a drummer and backup vocalist for the band Avenged Sevenfold, has been found dead at his home in Southern California.

Lt. John Domingo says the 28-year-old Sullivan, who went by the stage name The Rev, appears to have died of natural causes on Monday in Huntington Beach.

The Orange County coroner’s office is investigating the death.

According to the bands MySpace page, they have been hard at work in the studio on their fifth album.

The band released a statement Monday expressing their sadness and calling Sullivan “one of the world’s best drummers,” and “our best friend and brother.”

Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to The Rev’s family, friends, and loved ones.

Little Rocker Media's Top Ten Things We Are Looking Forward to in 2010

Amanda Bawarski

Lady Gaga. She is nuts, I wanna know what the heck she is going to get into in the next year, and (if possible) if she’ll get bigger.

Every Avenue and The Audition tour. It seems like The Audition never actually tour in the US, so fun times shall be had.

La Roux. This band is getting huge quickly, but I’ve yet to photograph them. This needs to change.

Alexisonfire Tour. These boys are super-stars in their homeland, and hopefully their success in Canada(land) will travel over to the US after this tour.

Bamboozle. ‘Nuff Said.

Photographing Hey Monday 500 more times next year. They are not only a fun band to watch, but to photograph as well.

Warped Tour.

City and Colour US Tour. Dallas Green has a fantastic voice complimented by his acoustic shows, and everyone should try to head out!

A new The Academy Is… album. Like the masses I love this band, but was far from impressed by Fast Times At Barrington High.

Seeing what happens to Little Rocker Media in the 2010. If you aren’t excited you should be!

Christine Gunn

Bamboozle- Traveling up the East Coast, on a plane, by myself. Dear God, please let Samuel L Jackson sit next to me incase there are any snakes…

Warped Tour- There are so many great bands on the bill this year, some I wouldn’t except could brave the tour. I’m excited

Anchor and Braille- Stephen Christian of Anberlin’s side project is slowly but surely getting the recognition it deserves, but it needs more!

City and Colour- I’m a bigger fan of Alexisonfire, but I do really enjoy Dallas’ work on C&C. I hope I get to catch it when it comes through!

John Mayer- A musical genius. Ticketmaster made me buy eight tickets to this show when I wanted four. I think Ticketmaster is telling me 1) I need friends. 2) I really need to see John Mayer.

Take Action Tour- My home-town boys in We The Kings, There For Tomorrow and Mayday Parade are heading out on this tour. There is no reason for me NOT to check it out!

Flogging Molly- I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Flogging Molly as a fan, but would love to experience them as a photographer. I love this band.

The rumored All Time Low, 3Oh!3 and Cobra Starship tour- um, hello?! Is this not the best line up ever? We’ve worked with all the bands before, and we are excited to work with each of them again in 2010!

Four Year Strong- I don’t think FYS is getting enough credit in either the pop-punk world or in the hardcore world. While the band doesn’t fit into either category, I think more people should be listening to them. They are amazing, insanely talented, and super nice…let’s forget the fact they are Red Sox fans though….

Little Rocker Media- It’s been quite a ride in 2009. When we were up, we were up. When we were down, we were down. But thanks to everyone, you made 2009 super successful. I hope we can make 2010 even better!

Our friend, and fellow photographer Ian Wilten is doing something super awesome for the Pundik Family. Anything you guys can do to help out the family is appreciative.

We at Little Rocker Media have been fans of New Found Glory for many years, and it saddens us deeply that someone we admire is going through such a tragic time. Please help out the Pundik family if you can. Every little bit counts!

KILL BRAND TO LAUNCH NEW CLOTHING LINE FEATURING THE...

KILL BRAND TO LAUNCH NEW CLOTHING LINE FEATURING THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF ALL TIME LOW BASSIST ZACK MERRICK!

December 3, 2009—Kill Brand, the burgeoning lifestyle brand based out of Asbury Park, NJ, is teaming up with All Time Low bassist Zack Merrick for a limited edition collection of clothing featuring the original photography of the musician.

From the bright lights of the stage, to the parking lot after the show, to long hauls to the next city, life is different for a musician on the road. It is with this idea in mind that KIll Brand/Kids Into Living Life is proud to collaborate with Zack Merrick for a special fashion collection to be released with the company’s Winter 2009 line.

See life through the eyes of a true road warrior. The pictures tell the story of a band on the run. The excitement, the tension and the anticipation of young musicians on the rise is visible in each frame.

Jonathan Smith, Kill Brand founder and former member of Tokyo Rose, explains how he teamed up with Merrick : “Zack and I were friends first, and he has always supported Kill Brand. I was looking at his computer one day and I said, ‘This picture is so sick who took it?’ He said, ‘Oh, I just mess around in my spare time and take photos while I’m on tour.’ We thought that collaborating his prints and our clothing would be a great outlet for people to appreciate Zack’s photos, instead of just having them hung on a wall.”

The Zack Merrick Collection by Kill Brand is available December 4th at killbrand.com and in stores across the country and around the world.
